Crochet Along Projects

September - December KAL - Fingerless Mitts

For the first time ever, we are presenting a matching KAL and CAL: Starburst Mitts for Knitters and Sparkler Mitts for Crocheters are the same pattern by the same designer engineered for each type of craft. These are advanced patterns using short rows. Something to challenge yourselves!
Sparkler Mitts

Stylish with an interesting construction - these crochet fingerless gloves are worked flat and use short rows to form a circle around the thumb. Because of this unusual construction, they are great to show off variegated yarn.

Pattern available here.  Or find it on Ravelry.

May-August CAL - Fab Kimono by Trish Young

Picture
A quick kimono style cardigan/shrug.  It looks pretty fab, so fab kimono it is :D
It’s cropped length contrasts in style with the ever-popular summer maxi-dress. But it’s easy to make longer if you’d like.
It’s crocheted from side to side, making both front and back pieces at the same time (so there’s no seaming in the middle!). It is then folded in half with just 2 short sides to seam at the end.
This is a good layering piece for wearing with summer dress, t‐shirt, long sleeve shirt, or even buttoned up collared shirt.
Size:
Length (shoulder to lower edge) — 17″
Around — 60″

Pattern can be found here.
