Knerdy Knitters Holiday Party 2016
Good food, good friends, good fun and good fiber! What a great way to close out 2016.
This year's holiday party fell on the fifth anniversary of the first meeting of the Knerdy Knitters guild.
Members came together to enjoy hors d'oeuvres, drinks, dinner, a fashion show of projects finished during the year and to collect door prizes. Nobody went home empty handed.

Guild Meetings 2016
As we grew this year, we moved our meetings to the community room of the Burbank Police-Fire Headquarters. These meetings, held on the fourth Monday of the month, are the guild's formal business meetings. Members discuss and take action on events, workshops, knit-along and crochet along plans, charity knitting projects and other things. Every meeting includes show-and-tell to present what you're working on at the moment.
TGIFiber at TGIFriday's
For geographical variety and the opportunity to imbibe adult beverages while knitting, the Knerdy Knitters gather for TGIFiber Night at TGIFriday's in Porter Ranch. Drinking is not required; a variety of snacks and dinners are available.
It's an opportunity to knit or crochet among other fiber lovers in a relaxed and casual environment.

Yarn Club
Yarn Club meets on the third Monday of every month at Panera, 132 E. Palm Ave., in Burbank. No business, no cares, just two hours of fiber fun with friends.
Saturday Stitchers
On the Saturday before the first Monday of the month, Knerdy Knitters and friends gathered at Starbucks, 1520 W. Olive, in Burbank, for casual knitting, crocheting, coffee and conversation.
WIPs, Chains and Stash Exchange
No knitter or crocheter can survive without a stash! The Knerdy Knitters' annual WIPs (works-in-progress), Chains and Stash Exchange allows us to trade out fibers that just aren't calling to us any more and exchange them for someone else's that do. Participants bring fibers, tools, books, magazines and accessories to exchange. This year's "Stash X" was held on Monday, Aug. 29, at the Gordon Biersch Brewery and Restaurant in Burbank.
