Reno Retreat & Jimmy Beans Wool Visit
Friday, January 31, 2025 to Sunday, February 2, 2025
Let's go to Reno, visit Jimmy Beans Wool and enjoy some cooler temps so we can wear many of our wool creations! We’re going Friday, January 31st through Sunday, February 2nd. It will be winter, and the average high temps are between 45 and 50 degrees so pack your sweaters, hats and mittens along with your latest project and join us for a fun weekend away.
There is room for 12 people to join us on this adventure. We’ve rented a big 2-story house with 4 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths plus a beautiful kitchen and a welcoming great room. There will be plenty of space for all of us to get comfortable and have a great weekend together! Please be advised that everyone will be sharing a room and bed with someone else.

The Guild is coordinating the house, along with provide some food & snacks for the weekend.
The accommodation cost is $160 per person for 2 nights at the house.
Each person will be individually responsible for their own travel costs to and from Reno, plus lunch and dinner on Saturday, plus share in the costs of any Ubers we need as we move around the area.
Here is our Itinerary for the weekend:
Friday, January 31st
You can either pay the full $160 now or split it into 2 payments of $80. If you want to split the payments, we will collect a deposit of $80 now to secure your spot in the house. The remaining $80 balance will be due on or before Friday, January 10th.
Once you have signed up, we’ll send you an email with a link to a short survey. This is where you can share with us any dietary restrictions for the food and snacks the guild will be providing. And you can tell us your roommate preferences.

- Arrive in Reno and arrive at house. Check in time will be in the afternoon and is still TBD. If you arrive in the morning, you will have to make your own arrangements until we can get into the house. More details will be available as we get closer to our stay.
- Dinner at the house (included in $160). We’ll order in something fun for dinner (Pizza, salads etc).
- Breakfast at house (included in $160).
- Visit Jimmy Beans Wool – opens at 10am. Depending on the number of people who drive to Reno, we’ll either carpool (if enough peple choose to drive to Reno) or split the cost to Uber to the shop. It’s about 10 miles from the house.
- Lunch near the Jimmy Bean’s after shopping.
- Afternoon is open. Some may want to visit the other yarn shop in Reno (Yarn Refuge), some may want to visit the Outlet mall near the house (Outlets at Legends), and some may want to hang back at the house.
- Dinner will be at a restaurant near the House.
- Breakfast at house (included in $160).
- Depart for home.
