September/October Knit-a-long

This knit-a-long there are two projects to choose from.  Both patterns can be found on Ravelry.

The first pattern is Hitchhiker by Martina Behm.  This pattern does have a small cost.  This is a good project for a beginner.  It is in garter stitch, so you will be knitting every row.  There is a purl stitch in the pattern, but it can be done as a knit.  You also need to do a kfb increase (knitting into the front and back of a stitch) and know how to bind off.

The second pattern is Wingspan by maylin Tri'Coterie Designs.  This pattern is available for free.  This project is good for an advanced beginner.  This pattern is formed by triangles created using short rows.  This patterns is also done in garter stitch, so is knit every row.
